Expectations around the interior

The BMW iX1 interior has not yet been revealed, nor have any images of study models appeared. Our predictions are therefore based on the innovations of recent BMW models, which the German designers will undoubtedly add to the iX1.

First of all, the BMW iX1 is likely to come with a Curved Display in the dashboard, which extends towards the cockpit screen to create the illusion of one big picture. This new design style will give you access to even more functions via the touchscreen. The apps are also expected to be improved, such as the BMW News App that gives access to even more news sources. Voice Control has also been improved to allow you to give additional voice commands while driving.

Finally, we expect the BMW iX1 to be compatible with the Digital Key, allowing you to open and lock the car with your iPhone. You can also start it with your smartphone. Many of these features are also in the latest electric BMWs.

BMW iX1 variants

Since the BMW iX1 is being developed according to the 'Power of Choice' principle, there is a good chance that the standard equipment will be similar to the updated BMW X1. What exactly is included in the standard equipment of the iX1 has not yet been confirmed. More luxurious trims will offer more applications for the BMW Operating System and it is expected that you will be able to choose more comfort and safety options at an additional cost.
