Impressive peak performance
Combining BMW M's signature passion for motorsport with innovative technology, the new BMW M4 CSL delivers an unrivalled experience of peak performance. With its impressive power output and clever lightweight construction, two-seat configuration, various suspension modifications and numerous specific equipment details, this new model is strongly focused on track driving. Its genes, which the M4 CSL shares with the racing version BMW M4 GT3, are also immediately recognisable in its performance. In tests, the BMW M4 CSL recorded a lap time of 7 minutes and 15.677 seconds on the infamous Nürburgring-Nordschleife (20.6 kilometres excluding the straight of section T13). This makes it the fastest series-produced car ever produced by the BMW Group. The official recorded time for the 20.832 kilometre circuit (full lap) is 7 minutes and 20.207 seconds. Also impressive: the BMW M4 CSL sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.7 seconds.

"Competition, Sport, Lightweight": a recipe with a long BMW tradition
The purist racing character of the BMW M4 CSL is the result of the unrivalled expertise of the BMW M GmbH development department and the latest technologies. The acronym CSL (which stands for "Competition, Sport, Lightweight") refers to the extraordinary importance of optimised weight for success in motorsport. For BMW M GmbH, the unveiling of the new BMW M4 CSL at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este (20 - 22 May 2022) is one of the highlights of the 50th anniversary celebrations. The BMW M4 CSL will be built in a limited series of 1,000 units at the BMW Group's Dingolfing production facility starting in July.

Exclusive body colour, model-specific design details
The body of the BMW M4 CSL is optionally available in the exclusive colour Frozen Brooklyn Grey metallic. This body colour combines perfectly with the exposed carbon surfaces and red accents. Together, they form a clear expression of pure sportiness. Alternatively, the exterior colours Alpinweiß uni or Saphirschwarz metallic are available.

The carbon-fibre structure of the various body parts is visible in a number of places, such as the two notches in the bonnet. The surfaces of these notches - which are not in body colour - are further emphasised by the red surround. Red accent lines draw attention to the two fins in the CFRP roof, the contours of the sill extensions, the black type markings and the model-specific CFRP splitters and Air Curtain inserts in the front bumper of the new BMW M4 CSL.

Equipped for pure motorsport feeling - and everyday use
The specific equipment details of the new BMW M4 CSL strike a sophisticated balance of pure motorsport feeling, practical features for everyday use and exclusive premium looks. The M Carbon bucket seats for driver and passenger stand out for their self-supporting CFRP structure and purposeful design with only the most necessary comfort features. The angle of the backrest is fixed, the longitudinal adjustment is manual and the seat height can be adjusted in three positions using screws, all in the workshop. The M Carbon bucket seats have removable headrest cushions for track use with a helmet and can be combined with a six-point racing belt system.

The M Sport steering wheel in Alcantara, the headlining in Anthrazit, M interior trim in Carbon Fibre, CSL badges on the seats, centre console and rear panel as well as M-specific displays create the ideal ambience for concentrated driving pleasure. The seats are upholstered as standard in Merino leather (with extended size) and are combined with M seatbelts. Two holders for a helmet are installed in the rear.

Innovative interior elements
The M specific control system includes an M Setup button for instant access to a wide range of car settings and two M switches on the steering wheel to store and quickly recall individual configurations while driving. Standard equipment also includes the M Drive Professional system including M Drift Analyser, M Laptop Timer and M Mode button for activating the ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which is also standard, comprises a fully digital display combination consisting of a 12.3-inch instrument cluster (Info Display) behind the steering wheel and a 10.25-inch Touch Control Display above the centre console. This includes the BMW Maps navigation system, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Smartphone Integration, telephone preparation with wireless charging and WiFi. These can be optionally supplemented by the BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific displays and the BMW Drive Recorder.
