The new MINI Electric Cabrio

The first all-electric four-seater convertible is a MINI. From idea to small series production in less than eight months. The MINI Electric Cabrio is another step on the road to an all-electric brand.

With the MINI Electric Cabrio , MINI is showing its flexibility and setting up small series production for the first time. The MINI Electric Cabrio will be produced alongside the regular MINI Cabrio in a limited edition of 999 units. Production will take place in the Netherlands. The Netherlands will receive 30 units of this very limited full-option Cabrio with a recommended retail price of €62,990. Sporty exterior details
The MINI Electric Cabrio is available in Enigmatic Black and White Silver. Door handles, side scuttles and the surrounds of the front and rear lights are finished in Resolute Bronze. The MINI logos and model designation are finished in matching elegant Piano Black. The e-logo, as known from the MINI Electric, can be found on the front bumper and rear. This visually emphasizes the emission-free Go-Kart feeling. Other model-specific details adorn the trims and side scuttles, while the inscription "1/999" emphasizes the exclusive character of the limited electric MINI Convertible.

MINI also leads the way in sustainability with such features as the 17" alloy wheels in Electric Power Spoke 2-tone design that are made from 100 percent secondary aluminum. The combination of the use of green power in production and the use of secondary raw materials significantly reduces_{CO2 emissions} compared to a conventional manufacturing process.

Rich interior equipment with MINI Electric design features
The sports seats come in MINI Yours Leather Lounge design and feature seat heating and adjustable support for the lower legs. The Nappa leather-clad multifunction sports steering wheel adds to the Go-Kart feeling and offers extra driving comfort thanks in part to the steering wheel heater. In the lower spoke of the steering wheel, the MINI Electric Badge accentuates the exclusive character of the electric convertible. The interior panels finished in Piano Black are given extra shine by the ambient lighting, which again contributes to the exclusive look. Yellow interior accents emphasize the all-electric drive of the open four-seater, such as the yellow start/stop button.

Among the comprehensive and high-quality equipment in the cockpit are the eDrive services familiar from the MINI Electric. These services provide the driver with information on current energy consumption, current range and tips for economical driving. Essential information is summarized on the MINI Head-Up Display. On longer trips, the Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and the MINI Driving Assistant, among others, provide additional comfort in the limited MINI Electric Cabrio. This full-option MINI Electric Cabrio truly has every option possible to create the ultimate Go-Kart feeling.

All-electric go-kart feeling
With a length of 3,863 mm, a wheelbase of 2,495 mm, a width of 1,727 mm and luggage space with a volume of 160 liters, the dimensions remain unchanged compared to the MINI Convertible with fuel engine. The 135 kW (184 hp) powerful electric motor was developed by BMW Group competence centers for electric mobility, in Dingolfing and Landshut. The compact size of the electric motor ensures particularly harmonious weight distribution and benefits agility and accessible driving characteristics. The electric drive allows the MINI Electric Convertible to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.

With a range of 201 km (WLTP), even longer trips are no problem. The fully electric soft top can be opened and closed at speeds of up to 30 km/h and can also be partially opened like a sunroof. With the roof closed, good insulation ensures a particularly quiet ride.
