Highlights:

  • The new BMW 128ti offers unfiltered driving dynamics and has a distinctive character. It is positioned between the BMW 120i and the top-of-the-range M135i xDrive model.
  • The BMW 128ti will be launched in November 2020 with a starting price of €49,990.
  • With its specially tuned M Sport suspension (lowered by 10 millimetres), a Torsen limited-slip differential and a model-specific tuning of the steering, the compact and exclusively front-wheel drive sports model is completely focused on highly involving driving pleasure.
  • The BMW 128ti has the same solid stabiliser bars and high-pressure mounting as the BMW M135i xDrive. Suspension and shock absorbers are also the same as the top model, ensuring excellent driving dynamics. Moreover, the front-wheel-drive BMW 128ti is about 80 kilograms lighter than the top model.
  • The 2.0-litre engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology is directly derived from the engine in the BMW M135i xDrive - the most powerful four-cylinder engine in the BMW Group - and develops an output of 195 kW (265 hp). An 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is part of the standard equipment.
  • As with the BMW M135i xDrive, the standard M Sport brake system with red brake calipers (a first for a BMW 1 Series model) offers optimum braking performance. The 18-inch light alloy wheels in Y-spoke styling 553 M Bicolor are exclusive to the BMW 128ti, while sports tyres (Michelin Pilot Sport 4) are available at no extra cost.
  • Exclusive, distinctive features on the interior and exterior of the BMW 128ti give the car a distinctive look. The M Sport model forms the basis and is complemented by model-specific accents, door sill extensions and a 'ti' logo for the rear wheels in a sporty red colour. On the BMW 128ti in the body colour Melbourne Rot or Misano Blau, these accents and the 'ti' logo are finished in black. The accents and logo can also be omitted if desired.
  • The extensive Shadow Line with black BMW kidney grille and black mirror caps is available as an option at no extra cost. The optional BMW Individual Shadow Line headlights, along with the absence of chrome elements, provide a darker look.
  • The interior features several red accents, including a large Race Red area in the back of the standard sports seats, the stitched 'ti' logo in the centre armrest and contrast stitching in the other armrests, door panels and instrument panel. The steering wheel centre and rim also feature red stitching.
  • The BMW 128ti brings new life to a long BMW tradition. Ever since the 1960s, the designation 'TI', later 'ti', has stood for Turismo Internazionale and marked particularly sporty models. From the iconic BMW 1800 TI and BMW 2002 TI to the BMW 323ti Compact and BMW 325ti Compact of the late 1990s.
