Grant applications MINI Electric (used)

Would you like to apply for a subsidy for a used MINI Electric? Then you've come to the right place! In this blog, we explain step by step how you can do so.

Step 1: Check eligibility

Before you apply for a subsidy, it is important to check your eligibility. To apply for a subsidy, you must meet the following conditions:
- You are a private person
- You have a valid residential address in the Netherlands
- During the term of SEPP, you can receive a subsidy once if you meet the conditions

The purchase agreement:
-You have a written purchase agreement of the purchase of the MINI Electric
-The purchase agreement is in your name: the name of the grant applicant
-The purchase agreement was entered into on or after January 1, 2023

Step 2: Apply for a grant

Starting Jan. 10, 2023, 9:00 a.m., you can apply for a subsidy for your used MINI Electric using the button below.

Note: The purchased used MINI Electric has been in your name for a minimum of 3 years. This is calculated from the date the car came into your name in the vehicle registration. Do you sell the car earlier than the agreed 3 years? Then report this and (possibly) pay back part of the subsidy.

When applying for the subsidy, have the following information handy:
-Adress, e-mail address and Citizen Service Number
-DigiD app or DigiD with SMS verification
-Date of signing purchase agreement or your digital agreement
-IBAN bank account number
-Your license plate number (the license plate number is not necessary to submit an application. You can also provide it later).

Step 3: After the application

After applying for the grant, you will receive a confirmation email. Within a maximum of 13 weeks you will receive a decision on your application. You can also follow the status of your application in eLoket. You can find all important messages under 'My applications'. You can log in via the button below

Step 4: Important to know

-Do you receive a subsidy? If so, keep the purchase agreement for at least 3 years. It will be verified that it is correct that you are receiving a subsidy and during the verification you may be asked about the purchase agreement.

Step 5: When will you receive the grant?

License plate in your name
Was the MINI Electric already in your name when you applied for the subsidy? Then you will receive the subsidy amount in your account within 2 weeks if you have received a letter called 'Subsidieverlening' from Rijksdienst van Ondernemend Nederland.

License plate not yet in your name
Was your license plate not yet in your name when you applied for the subsidy? Then pass on your license plate number and your IBAN bank account number later via 'eLoket'. You do this as soon as the license plate is in your name and when you have received the letter 'Subsidy Grant'. This must be done within 6 months, counting from the date on the 'Granting' letter. After you have passed on your license plate, you will receive the subsidy amount in your account within 2 weeks.
