Subsidy Applications Private Lease MINI Electric (new)

Would you like to apply for a subsidy for a new MINI Electric in combination with Private Lease? Then you've come to the right place! In this blog, we explain step by step how you can do so.

Step 1: Check eligibility

Before you apply for a subsidy, it is important to check your eligibility. To apply for a subsidy, you must meet the following conditions:
- You are a private person
- You have a valid residential address in the Netherlands
- During the term of SEPP, you can receive a subsidy once if you meet the conditions

The lease agreement:
-You have a written agreement for the private lease of the MINI Electric
-The lease agreement is in your name and has been signed by you
-The lease agreement was entered into on or after January 1, 2023
-The new MINI Electric that you are privately leasing is in your name for 4 years at all times. This is calculated from the date of1st registration in the Netherlands and the date of entry in the vehicle registration register. Do you stop leasing earlier than the agreed 4 years? Then you can report this to Rijksdienst van Ondernemend Nederland and the monthly payment of the subsidy amount will stop.

Step 2: Apply for a grant

Starting January 10, 2023, 9:00 a.m., you can apply for a subsidy for the private lease of your new MINI Electric using the button below. Your MINI Electric does not have to have been delivered yet when you apply for the subsidy.

Note: The purchased MINI Electric has been in your name for a minimum of 4 years. This is counted from the date the car came into your name in the registration register. Do you sell the car earlier than the agreed 4 years? Then report this and the monthly payment of the subsidy amount will stop.

Grant application

When applying for the subsidy, have the following information handy:
-Adress, e-mail address and Citizen Service Number
-DigiD app or DigiD with SMS verification
-Date of signing lease agreement / your digital lease agreement
-IBAN bank account number
-Your license plate number (the license plate number is not necessary to submit an application. You can also provide it later).

Step 3: After the application

After applying for the grant, you will receive a confirmation email. Within a maximum of 13 weeks you will receive a decision on your application. You can also follow the status of your application in eLoket. You can find all important messages under 'My applications'. You log in via the button below.

Step 4: Important to know

-Do you receive a subsidy? If so, keep the lease agreement for at least 4 years. It will be checked to see if it is correct that you are receiving a subsidy and during the check you may be asked about the lease agreement.

Step 5: When will you receive the grant?

License plate in your name
Was the MINI Electric already in your name when you applied for the subsidy? Then you will receive the subsidy amount in your account within 2 weeks if you have received a letter called 'Subsidieverlening' from Rijksdienst van Ondernemend Nederland.

License plate not yet in your name
Was your license plate not yet in your name when you applied for the subsidy? Then pass on your license plate number and your IBAN bank account number later via 'eLoket'. You do this as soon as the license plate is in your name and when you have received the letter 'Subsidy Grant'. This must be done within 18 months, counting from the date on 'Subsidy Granting' letter. After you have passed on your license plate you will receive the subsidy amount in your account within 2 weeks.
