More power, a sharpened design, new options for personalization and digital innovations - these are the focal points of the new BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 Convertible. With these, BMW M GmbH continues the success story of these sporty models, which in their new guise have even more motorsport DNA in them. In the BMW M4 Competition Coupe and BMW M4 Competition Convertible with M xDrive, the power output of the 6-cylinder in-line engine increases by 15 kW (20 hp) to an impressive 390 kW (530 hp). Other standouts include new headlights, taillights with laser technology, forged alloy M wheels in a new design, new steering wheels and interior trim, plus the BMW Operating System 8.5 control system and the BMW Curved Display in the cockpit. Production starts in March, immediately followed by the global market launch.

Model range

At the top of the range is the BMW M4 CSL with an impressive 405 kW (551 hp) of power and 650 Nm of torque. Weight savings of up to 100 kg compared to the BMW M4 Competition, the high-performance M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder in-line gasoline engine and the model-specific Ultra Track tires make the uncompromising motorsport DNA felt in everyday use as well.
In the BMW M4 Competition with 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, the engine reaches a solid 375 kW (510 hp). The maximum output of the 6-cylinder in-line engine in the new BMW M4 Competition Coupe with M xDrive and in the new BMW M4 Competition Convertible with M xDrive has increased to 390 kW (530 hp) at 6,250 rpm. Maximum torque peaks at 650 Nm between 2,750 and 5,730 rpm.
The BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 Convertible with six-speed manual transmission already offer a maximum output of 353 kW (480 hp). The 6-cylinder in-line engine in the new BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 Convertible combines the distinctive, high-revving character of BMW M GmbH's power units with the current version of M TwinPower Turbo technology. All variants of this 3.0-liter engine impress with their direct power delivery and high pulling power.
